Test Includes
Activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT); anticardiolipin antibodies, IgG, IgM; β2-glycoprotein I, IgA, IgG, IgM; dilute Russell's viper venom time (dRVVT); hexagonal phospholipid neutralization; international normalized ratio (INR); lupus anticoagulant interpretation; platelet neutralization; prothrombin time; thrombin time (immediate reflex to aPTT Mixing Studies [117199] if aPTT is more than three seconds above the upper end of the reference interval)
Expected Turnaround Time
5 - 7 days
Turnaround time is defined as the usual number of days from the date of pickup of a specimen for testing to when the result is released to the ordering provider. In some cases, additional time should be allowed for additional confirmatory or additional reflex tests. Testing schedules may vary.

Blue-top (sodium citrate) platelet-free plasma tubes and red-top tube or gel-barrier tube
Collection
Plasma/serum must be separated from cells within 45 minutes of venipuncture. Send plasma/serum in plastic transport tubes. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.
